We’re pleased to announce the promotion of Eric Lee, P.Eng. from System Application & Infrastructure Manager to Chief Implementation Officer (CIO).
Long before he was building complex control systems and integrating enterprise software, as a young boy, Eric was reverse-engineering manufacturing processes with nothing more than keen observation and a pile of Lego. Sometimes insteadof playing with his friends, Eric would hang out at the manufacturing shop next to his father’s pharmacy, studying how things were designed, assembled—and then going home to rebuild them in miniature. His curiosity was relentless, and it still is.
Witha strong background in math and physics, Eric's engineering background included majors in both mechanical and electrical engineering including a concentration in micro-controllers and programming.
Eric brings to Green Matters over 15 years of cross-functional leadership, driving the end-to-end execution of major initiatives — from strategy alignment and resource planning to project deployment and post-launch optimization.
Throughout his career, he has led multidisciplinary teams, overseeing mechanical and electrical design, control programming, prototyping, and commercialization of innovative products across diverse sectors, consistently solving tough problems and turning innovative ideas into real-world results.
At Green Matters Technologies, Eric has played a key engineering role in designing, developing, and integrating our Captive Energy software operational systems. This includes low-level systems programming, the creation of robust testing frameworks, and the seamless linkage of manufacturing workflows and inventory/parts ordering systems with our enterprise accounting software.
While Eric will continue to develop system-level software, automated testing protocols and oversee the integration of supply chain and accounting systems, as CIO, Eric will also be the team-lead spear heading the design and development of our newest product, the Captive Energy-B50.
Eric blends big-picture thinking with meticulous execution—and we’re excited to see how his engineering savvy and leadership skills will help us grow.
